Number Of Putnam Covid-19 Cases Climbs Past 1,000: Latest Breakdown By Town

There have now been more than 1,000 cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Putnam County.

The exact number of confirmed cases as of Tuesday, April 28 is 1,038, of which 29 are new cases.

According to the Putnam County Department of Health, there are currently 16 county residents hospitalized with COVID-19, while they are still monitoring 78 potential cases. 

Since the outbreak began in early March, 959 COVID-19 patients have been treated and released from Putnam Hospital Center and are no longer isolated or quarantined.

The latest town-by-town breakdown of COVID-19 in Putnam County is as follows:

  • Carmel: 339;
  • Kent: 195;
  • Southeast: 191;
  • Putnam Valley: 132;
  • Philipstown: 94;
  • Patterson: 87.
